At Project Female we have three strands of dance companies you can audition for : Performance, Commercial and Street Dance. You can apply for one or multiple dance companies.

What’s involved?
Our audition process is a very relaxed ‘dance class’ style session. It involves learning a short routine, then performing it in a smaller group in front of the Project Female Team.
Within the audition there is an opportunity for dancers to freestyle at the end of the routine. It is a chance for you to share your own style of movement and give us an insight into your preferred genre of dance.
Why audition?
All dancers take part in the same audition process and all dancers re-audition each year.
This allows us to ensure our dance companies are perfectly grouped according to each dancer's stage of development, growth, creativity and expression.
Taking part in an audition might feel scary but we aim to make them as relaxed and fun as possible. The life skills young people will gain from the process will prepare them for similar experiences in the future.
We also acknowledge that auditions can be a barrier to people accessing Project Female. In these cases, we are open to discussing other routes to join our dance companies, for example submitting a dance video or joining a trial session.
