our partners

Working together to create lasting change.

No single organisation can tackle systemic inequality alone.

Project Female works alongside creative organisations, community partners, healthcare providers, academic institutions and public-sector decision-makers to create better opportunities for young females.

Through these partnerships, we connect young females with high-quality creative experiences, trusted support, professional networks and opportunities to influence the decisions that shape their lives.

By bringing together expertise across dance, youth work, health, education and public safety, we help create the conditions for young females to belong, thrive and lead change.

Community & Sector Partners

South East Dance

Based at The Dance Space in Brighton, South East Dance is a strategic partner supporting Project Female through subsidised studio space, production support and professional development for our dance artists and young leaders. This relationship helps us nurture creative ambition and provide high-quality dance opportunities for young people.

One Dance UK — U.Dance

Through our relationship with One Dance UK and U.Dance, young dancers from Project Female access national youth dance platforms and wider creative networks. These opportunities celebrate young talent, raise the visibility of young female dancers and connect our local work with the wider dance sector.

Brighton Youth Centre and local community venues

Working with trusted local venues enables us to deliver accessible, community-based activities in neighbourhoods where young people may face barriers to participation. These partnerships help us build relationships, strengthen local connections and bring opportunities closer to the young people who need them.

Healthcare, Academic & Research Partners

University of Sussex and Brighton and Sussex Medical School

Our academic and research partnerships have supported the exploration of community-based approaches to young females’ mental health and wellbeing. Through research and evaluation, we aim to strengthen the evidence behind our work and contribute learning that can inform wider practice.

Local NHS teams and youth services

We work alongside local health and youth services to support appropriate, contextual referrals when young people need specialist support. These relationships help connect our community-based provision with wider services, recognising that young people’s needs can extend beyond the dance studio.

Civic & Community Safety Partners

Brighton & Hove City Council

We engage with councillors, public safety leads and council teams to ensure young females’ experiences of street safety and public transport are heard. Through youth-led initiatives and dialogue with decision-makers, we create opportunities for young people to contribute to conversations about local safety and influence the issues affecting their everyday lives.

Sussex Police and Violence Reduction Units

Our work with public safety partners creates opportunities for young females to share their experiences, raise concerns and participate in youth-led safety initiatives. Through conferences and structured dialogue, young people can engage directly with decision-makers and contribute their perspectives to discussions about preventing violence against women and girls.

Local MPs, universities and employers

Connections with civic leaders, universities and employers help open doors to mentorship, work experience and leadership opportunities. By connecting Dance Ambassadors and Youth Panel members with people and organisations beyond their immediate networks, we support young females to build relationships, develop skills and explore future pathways.

Partnerships that put young people at the centre

Our approach is grounded in the belief that young females are experts in their own experiences. We work to create meaningful opportunities for them to shape conversations, contribute to decisions and influence the systems around them.

Whether through creative collaboration, research, community-based delivery or civic engagement, our partnerships help connect young people’s voices with the people, resources and opportunities that can make a difference.

Work with us

We welcome partnerships with organisations that share our commitment to equity, creative opportunity and young females’ voice, agency and leadership.

Whether you are an arts organisation, community group, healthcare provider, educational institution, funder or public-sector body, we would love to explore how we could work together.
